The Visionary Beginnings (Early 2000s)
Unlike many global zoos that are built and funded entirely by state governments, Bali Zoo was born out of a private, local family passion. It was founded by Anak Agung Gde Putra, a prominent Balinese entrepreneur from Sukawati.
